Yesterday- 11/03, the SMARTECH research team had the pleasure of welcoming students from the Vocational High School of Aigio to the Computer Engineering and Informatics Department (CEID) at the University of Patras.

The visit provided an excellent opportunity for students specializing in Computer Science to interact with researchers and gain insight into emerging technologies. Throughout the session, the students demonstrated strong curiosity and enthusiasm while discussing the future of technology and the role of computing in shaping the digital world.

During the visit, the students were introduced to the research activities of the SMARTECH team and had the opportunity to explore innovative demonstrations. One of the highlights of the session was an interactive Virtual Reality (VR) application, which allowed participants to experience immersive technologies firsthand. In addition, the team presented how Artificial Intelligence and next-generation communication networks can support advanced digital applications and future technological developments.

Initiatives like this play an important role in connecting education with research and innovation, helping students better understand the opportunities and challenges within the field of computing.
